The 17th European Fair of Contemporary Art in Strasbourg has just closed its doors.
Let us not forget that this is the 2nd oldest Art Fair in France after FIAC, and the top-ranking Art Fair outside Paris both in terms of the number of visitors and the volume of business generated.
The number of visitors has remained stable with nearly 26,000 visitors recorded, i.e. 1,000 more than for the 2011 Fair. The high number of visitors at the preview night immediately set the trend on Thursday 22nd November getting the Fair off to a good start.
The volume of sales was judged to be satisfactory: most galleries did good business or received purchasing agreements which should be realised in the near future.
